Student Alumni Council
The Student Alumni Council is a new student organization chartered by the Texas State Alumni Association. This group engages Texas State students with the Texas State Alumni Association through philanthropy and engagement, connects them with meaningful avenues for continued university support, and provides a clear pathway toward serving as leaders in the alumni community upon graduation. In addition to facilitating events like Senior Trade Up and the Ring Celebration, The Student Alumni Council supports the initiatives of the Alumni Association's Board of Directors to engage current students.

Student Alumni Council members are enthusiastic and dedicated students who love Texas State, are interested in making the most of their Texas State experience while building their leadership and interpersonal skills, and are committed to strengthening the Bobcat community.
Undergraduate freshmen, sophomores, and juniors from all majors and backgrounds can apply to be members of the Student Alumni Council. Membership requirements include:
- full-time enrollment
- minimum 2.5 GPA
- good academic and disciplinary standing with the university
The Student Alumni Council applications will be accepted until July 1st at 5:00pm CST.
2021-2022 Student Officers
Steven Bradford SAC President
Steven assists with holding SAC meetings, supports Alumni Association events, and is a member of the new member selection committee. Steven joined Student Alumni Council in Spring 2021 and enjoys being able to raise Bobcat pride in students while helping them transition into the workforce by connecting students with alumni.
Steven is a senior majoring in psychology and has an expected graduation date of Fall 2021. He is from Longview, Texas, and enjoys cycling, cooking, and watching English soccer. Steven's favorite thing about Texas State is that the campus is big enough to provide an amazing college experience but small enough to create a community.
Fun fact: Steven has a 100+ hat collection
Sydney Niederhaus SAC Vice President
Sydney plans events, assists in outreach events, and works closely with our members to make SAC a great student organization. Sydney joined SAC in Fall 2020 and enjoys that SAC has introduced her to a unique and diverse group of people.
Sydney is a sophomore majoring in management and has an expected graduation date of May 2024. Sydney is from Arlington, TX and outside of SAC is also a member of Zeta Tau Alpha.
Bliss Morvant SAC Director of Member Development
Bliss assists in planning new member recruitment, member development, and social retreats. She joined SAC in the Fall of 2019 and enjoys getting to interact with graduating Bobcats during Senior Trade Up.
Bliss is a senior majoring in psychology and is expecting to graduate December 2021. She is from Seguin, TX, enjoys watching the Texas Rangers and spending time with her family. Her favorite thing about TXST is the beautiful campus she walks through every day.
Fun fact: Bliss once performed in Carnegie Hall in New York with her high school band.
Christine Lockwood SAC Director of Outreach and Student Engagement
Christine maintains SAC's social media and webpage. Christine joined Student Alumni Council in Fall 2019 and loves the sense of community that comes with being a member. She also loves being able to volunteer and help other parts of Texas State. Christine was previously SAC Vice President for the 2020-2021 year, and is excited to continue her work as an officer.
Christine is a senior majoring in pre-physical therapy with an expected graduation date of May 2022. She is from Kerrville, TX and loves going to the river with her friends.
Fun fact: Christine has 8 siblings - 2 older and 6 younger.
