The Alumni Association raises funds through gifts to the Priority Fund, Forever Bobcats memberships and event proceeds that support the multiple scholarships they award to current Texas State students annually.

Incoming Freshman Students

Each fall, the Alumni Association awards ten (10) renewable scholarships for incoming freshman students. The scholarship award is based on evidence of superior academic achievement, leadership, and legacy status defined as having a parent, step-parent, legal guardian or grandparent that graduated from Texas State University. Scholarship recipients are chosen by the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office. Legacy status will be verified by the Office of Alumni Relations. Selection is highly competitive.

One-Time Continuing Student Scholarship

The Alumni Association awards one-time scholarships to continuing students based on evidence of superior academic achievement, leadership, financial need, and legacy status. Recipients will be notified prior to the fall semester and funds will disperse in the amount of $1,000 in both August and January for a total award of $2,000.
