Join us for an evening with Spanish faculty Dr. Sharon Keefe Ugalde and Dr. Catherine Jaffe. During this event, Drs. Keefe Ugalde and Jaffe will be discussing their research on Spanish women from the Enlightenment to the Twentieth Century.

Sharon Keefe Ugalde is a university distinguished professor in the Department of World Languages and Literatures and the Coordinator of the Spanish Division. She focuses on 20th and 21st century poetry of Spain written by women.

Catherine Jaffe is a professor of Spanish at Texas State University and also teaches in the Honors College. Dr. Jaffe’s research interests in modern Spanish and comparative literature focus on eighteenth-century women writers, the Enlightenment, feminism, translation, and quixotism.
