University Ambassadors

What is University Ambassadors?

University Ambassadors is a chartered volunteer organization of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and the Alumni Association at Texas State. We are a group of student volunteers who love Texas State and share our excitement with prospective students by giving tours, orchestrating Bobcat Days, participating in Gold Book events, and many other exciting on-campus opportunities! Overall, we represent Texas State University!

What Do University Ambassadors Do?

University Ambassadors act as hosts to thousands of high school students, families, and visitors during events such as Bobcat Days and Visitor's Center tours. They work to recruit a talented and diverse student population. Once students are established at Texas State, the University Ambassadors help to inspire pride and traditions within the student population through Alumni Association events on campus.

How Do I Become a University Ambassador?

Membership is restricted to students who successfully complete a competitive selection process. Members should be enthusiastic, committed students who love Texas State and are excited to share that love with prospective students! Recruitment is completed within the first few weeks of the fall and spring semesters. Ambassadors should be full-time students with at least a 2.5 GPA and should be within good academic standing within the university. For an application and information on the recruitment, please email the Executive Board at
