From her Texas PE-teaching roots to her training of Hollywood celebrities at the prestigious Sports Club L.A. in Beverly Hills, “Coach” Stacy Chessher-Fowler’s passion shines in the fields of fitness, wellness, and personal training.  She has hosted countless fitness and health segments on television and radio, and has been featured by Good Morning America, Shape Magazine, Ladies Home Journal, and Prevention Magazine.  She was one of the first national spokespersons for Propel Fitness Water. Recently, she launched a successful tourism and events business, The Golden Hayride.

Chessher-Fowler was appointed by four Governors as the President of the Colorado Governor’s Council for Physical Fitness. She also served as the Colorado State Coordinator for the Presidents’ Challenge, Vice President of the National Association for Health and Fitness and on the faculty of the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Through her nonprofit We Play it Forward, she raises funds to help ease the fee barriers of organized sports. Her love of nature led her to launch Camp GO, connecting kids and families to the outdoors. Her work has been recognized with several awards, including the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition’s Community Leadership Award, and the Gold Star Award of the National Association of Health and Fitness.

Chessher-Fowler has given back to her alma mater in several ways, including serving as the Texas State Strutters personal trainer and fitness consultant for many years. She was named a Strutters Giant for her contributions to the team and was inducted into the Strutters Hall of Fame. In 2010, she was honored with the Alumni Association’s Alumni Achievement Award.
