Alumni Brand Ambassadors

Participants in the Alumni Association Brand Ambassador program will create positive energy about Texas State University and the Alumni Association. Alumni Brand Ambassadors (ABA) help disseminate and generate content within their own social media networks. ABAs provide insight, and a personal point-of-view, to alumni and friends of the university.

The Alumni Association marketing team will send regular email communication to Alumni Brand Ambassadors with updates about upcoming social media events and opportunities. They will be asked to regularly share content from Texas State and the Texas State Alumni Association social media accounts which interest them and they believe would resonate with fellow alumni in their social networks.

Who are Alumni Brand Ambassadors

  • Proud Texas State alumni
  • Willing to agree to the Texas State University's social media guidelines
  • Are active at least once a week on at least one social platform
  • Accepted as a Brand Ambassador after completing the application
  • Are current members, or be willing to join as a member, of the Alumni Association

What Alumni Brand Ambassadors Do

  • Help promote the Texas State Alumni Association to your network via email and social media.
  • Like, comment, share or retweet, posts from Alumni Association social media accounts.
  • Post photos from Alumni or University events and encourage others to do the same on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
  • Utilize the #TXSTAlumni hashtag.
  • Share and encourage their alumni network to follow Alumni Association social media accounts.

How Alumni Brand Ambassadors Benefit

  • Receive advanced notice of news and happenings within Texas State University and the Alumni Association.
  • Share your personal perspective on the benefits of being a Texas State alumni and Alumni Association member.
  • Receive recognition on the Texas State Alumni Association website and on Alumni Association social networks.
  • Receive #TXSTAlumni swag items to show your Bobcat Pride.

Apply to be a Alumni Association Brand Ambassador

If you are excited to positively represent the Texas State Alumni Association, please complete the application form and you will be contacted with more information.

No monetary compensation will be received for participation in the Alumni Ambassador program. ABA participants agree to portray Texas State and the Texas State Alumni Association in a positive light, however, they are encouraged to share the message in their own words. Participation in the program includes receiving advance notice of information, which may involve being asked to wait before sharing these messages. Volunteer term will be one year with the ability to renew. Texas State Alumni Association has the right to remove any participant from the ABA, without prior notice to the volunteer, at any time.
